Run into a problem or have a suggestion? Email us at hi@ornoo.cc and we’ll get back to you soon. Here are some common questions.

Will ornoo touch my photos?

No. ornoo is just a layer on top of your system photo library — it never copies or moves your photos. When you delete a photo in ornoo, it goes through Apple’s “Recently Deleted” (a 30-day recovery window), so you can restore it anytime.

Where do the albums I create in ornoo go?

They’re written into your system photo library and appear under “Albums” in the system Photos app too. Adding to or removing from those albums in ornoo stays in sync with the system Photos app.

Will I lose photos if I uninstall ornoo?

No. Your photos always live in the system photo library and iCloud. After uninstalling, everything stays as it was — only ornoo’s helper data is cleared.

Does it need the internet? Will it upload my photos?

All of ornoo’s organizing happens on your device, and your photos are not uploaded. Only when a photo exists solely in iCloud (optimized storage, with no original on your device) and you want to view the full-quality original will it be downloaded through iCloud — and that goes through Apple’s iCloud, never through ornoo.

How do I grant or change the Photos permission?

The first time you open ornoo, it asks for the “Photos” permission — we recommend granting “Full Access” so ornoo can organize everything for you. You can change it anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › ornoo.

Will it be slow with a lot of photos?

The first launch runs a scan to build an index (a few minutes for several thousand photos); after that it’s instant. The index is stored only on your device.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad, running iOS / iPadOS 26 or later.

Still stuck?

Just email hi@ornoo.cc with what you ran into (your device model and system version help too), and we’ll get you sorted as soon as we can.
