Privacy Policy
In one line: your photos always stay on your own device and in your own iCloud. ornoo never copies, uploads, or sells any of your photos or personal data — all organizing happens on your device.
Mapping, not copying; on-device, not in the cloud
ornoo accesses your system photo library through Apple’s PhotoKit to “map and enhance” it — it never copies or moves your photos. Your photos always remain stored on your device and in your own iCloud.
All of ornoo’s analysis and organizing (sorting by source, grouping by date, detecting near-duplicate bursts, filtering, and so on) happens entirely on your device. Your photos and their analysis are never uploaded to any server.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, account, email, contacts, precise location, device identifiers, or any other personal information.
- ornoo requires no sign-up and no login — it simply uses your iCloud identity.
- ornoo has no server for receiving user data, and integrates no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
Photos & albums permission
- ornoo needs the “Photos” permission to read and organize your library. We recommend granting “Full Access” so ornoo can organize everything for you.
- Albums you create in ornoo are written into your system photo library through PhotoKit; adding to or removing from those albums stays in sync with the system Photos app.
- Deleting a photo goes through Apple’s “Recently Deleted” mechanism (a 30-day recovery window). ornoo builds no deletion mechanism of its own.
- You can change or revoke this permission at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.
Data ornoo keeps on your device
- To present and organize faster, ornoo stores a small amount of helper data locally (such as organizing tags for photos and the album configurations you save). This data lives only on your device.
- If you have iCloud enabled, a small amount of album configuration may sync between your own devices through Apple’s iCloud — this goes through Apple’s iCloud and never passes through ornoo.
- After you uninstall ornoo, this local helper data is deleted with it; your photos and albums remain untouched.
Children’s privacy
ornoo collects no personal information, and does not collect information from children under 13.
